Member News Who’s Who in Reverse Mortgages Celink Offers Online Submission of Occupancy Certificates Celink, Lansing, MI, announced that it is now offering reverse mortgage borrowers the option of signing their annual occupancy certificates online, saving time and offering a more secure alternative to the mail-based process. This enhancement complies with the E-Sign Act and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Mortgagee Letter 2014-03. After logging into Celink’s Borrower Portal, eligible senior borrowers who are due for occupancy certification are informed that they can perform the entire process electronically. “Many senior borrowers are used to the convenience of managing their financial accounts online,” Celink CEO Marion McDougall says. “We have built the portal to deliver real-time access to important information about their loans. With the portal, we also improved the security of communication. Our technology investments aim to improve borrowers’ lives and increase their satisfaction.” Heartland Bank Helps 20,000th Customer Heartland Bank, New Zealand’s leading provider of reverse mortgages and a NRMLA member since 2014, reported a surge in demand, with reverse mortgage inquiries up 65 percent in 2021 compared with 2020. In March, Heartland helped its 20,000th customer get a reverse mortgage. Prior to joining AAG, Slifer served at the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) for three years, first as a production and distribution executive and later as its head of real estate lending. He also served as head of the global mortgage vertical at Sutherland Global Services and was channel president of private-label solutions at PHH Mortgage Corp. “Scott is a financial services industry veteran, bringing over 30 years of experience and deep domain and business acumen in the strategic industry verticals of banking, lending, insurance and customer experience,” says Ed Robinson, president and chief operating officer at AAG. “We’re confident leaders like Scott will help take AAG to the next level.” PRMI Adds Hartley as Reverse Mortgage Sales Manager Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. (PRMI) hired Christopher Hartley as reverse mortgage sales manager in its Owings Mills, MD, headquarters. Hartley will work with the reverse leadership and operations team to manage reverse volume related to PRMI branch partners across the nation. He also will cultivate and manage relationships with PRMI loan originators, providing in-depth education while helping them how to best structure reverse mortgage loans.
